The amount of stuff women just don’t know about themselves constantly baffles me!
My name’s Nat and I’m a bona fide women’s health revolutionist and fertility fixer. Natural medicine and women’s wellness is my absolute passion and I’ll shout it from the rooftops if I have to – just try to shut me up!
What makes me an expert?
After several years of studying biosciences with a medical influence, I found myself with too many unanswered questions. My heart lead me to Chinese medicine, which in turn opened my eyes up to an entirely new, holistic treatment perspective – integrating the western medical approach with alternative therapies and natural fertility methods. I opened the doors to my women’s wellness clinic, The Pagoda Tree, in Melbourne in 2003 and since then have helped thousands of women to better understand their bodies, and to feel good (finally!). And now, as the clinic goes from strength to strength, I’ve stepped out to champion fertility BEFORE it becomes an issue. Why wait until it’s broken? Helping women in their twenties to lay a gangbuster ‘healthy hormone’ foundation is the way forward in the world of women’s health. Through my blog, I educate women on the benefits of alternative therapies and nutrition – combining delicious healthy recipes, inspiring interviews and detailed answers to all of your questions from the baffling battleground of women’s health – from The Pill, to understanding ovulation, how natural therapies can assist with IVF and what effect stress is really having on your body.
Where you’ve seen me
I drop in occasionally on The Morning Show as their natural health expert, and also produced and hosted the web TV series, HealthTalks.
I’m regularly featured in women’s glossies like Marie Claire, Cosmo Health, Cosmo Pregnancy, and Body + Soul.
I tour the country regularly, holding workshops and speaking at other events to help women get clued up on their bodies and take control of their hormone health.
I’m so honoured to be able to share my knowledge and experience with you. Thank you for being here, and please, don’t be shy! Drop me a line, ask a question, get involved in the comments below each post or join in the conversation on Twitter.
On a more personal note…
I’m inspired by… Sarah Wilson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Rachel Zoe, Jess Ainscough, my kids, my husband – all for various reasons, be it their writing and ability to create a movement, for sharing their life experiences, and for their savvy business skills.
I want to live in a world where… we are all informed so we can make educated decisions about our own wellbeing and health.
The biggest lesson I’ve ever learnt is… to trust my instinct. Always.
When I’m not working you can find me… at the beach with my family or shopping (preferably solo but such a rarity!).
My secret guilty pleasure is… raw chocolate.
A mantra I like to live by is… I am empowered and euphoric, making a difference in this world. (I get reminded of this daily by my phone at 11am. Those reminders are the best!)
